Booth Battling the Bay for a Consecutive Win

Michael Booth will compete in the 07th Annual Battle of the Bay Festival in San Francisco next week, ready to take on the challenging body of water and eager to take out the win for the second year running.

The race will take place along the beaches of Presidio National Park, with the world’s best contestants putting their skills to the test as they race the iconic course.

Recovering from a bacterial sinusitis infection since the ISA World Championships in Denmark earlier this month, Michael said he is now feeling rested and recovered, ready to race.

After not having the race or result he had hoped for in the World Championships, Booth came back stronger than ever and won the SUP Longa Marathon Cup last week, held in Italy.

Booth says taking out the win in Italy was the encouragement boost he needed heading into Battle of the Bay and is confident he will be able to race his best performance in San Francisco.

“I’m really looking forward to Battle of the Bay, it’s a challenging race, but one I really enjoy, it’s exciting,” he said.

With very little down time between now and the end of the year, Michael has a busy schedule ahead of him.

“I definitely have a very busy few months coming up, but that’s just how I like it.”

Michael will race in the 8.5 mile Pro Course in San Francisco on the 23rd September.
